2016 marks final year for SDC’s World Fest

Silver Dollar City’s spring festival, World Fest, will celebrate its final year in 2016 after 23 years.

The festival’s departure is noted in season pass promotions. It will be held April 7 through May 1. Nothing has yet been announced on what new festival will take its place.

World Fest has featured a number of musical and dance performances over the years, inspired by cultures from around the globe. Various international specialty foods are served in the Frisco Barn during the festival.

Other changes in 2016 include six additional days for Bluegrass and BBQ, a “Founders’ Weekend” in May, and a “Heroes’ Month” in September.
